Hue Local Tour is rooted in the community and thus, after deducting for costs, tour revenue goes to our charity funding, the Hue Foundation. Building on the sustainable tourism activities of Hue Local Tour, in mid-2019 Bem Nguyen, founded the Hue Foundation Charity Fund with the objective of assisting families suffering the consequences of the Vietnamese wars.

We wanted to dedicate a portion of the charity’s funds to establish a scholarship fund for academically inclined children of our community who required financial assistance to attend school.

FULL ITINERARY

Morning
7:00 AM Tour guide picks up guests at the hotel in the city center of Hue and departs for the tour.
8:00 AM First stop at Bao La Village, known for its traditional bamboo weaving craft. You can explore and learn about the local bamboo weaving profession.
9:30 AM Continue to Phuoc Tich Village, the second national heritage village in Vietnam. Explore ancient houses with intricate wood carvings, historical sites, temples and traditional crafts such as the famous 500-year-old pottery technique of using straw for firing.
11:00 AM Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon
1:00 PM Depart from the hotel to visit Tam Giang Lagoon. Boat to go through the Lagoon fishing grounds and learn about the lives of local fishermen.
2:20 PM Go through the complex system of Ban Chua trees, to the Lu Harvest experience area – an elaborate arrangement of fishing nets to catch fish, shrimp, and crabs. Enjoy a mini BBQ party with freshly caught specialties such as Hom fish, goby fish, and shrimp.
5:30 PM Enjoy Tam Giang’s seafood dinner.
6:30 PM The boat takes you back to the dock.
7:00 PM Back to the hotel and end the tour with good impressions. Trip ends.
