Phuoc Tich Ancient Village – A day of being Local

Your guide will meet you around 7:30 AM. After enjoying a delicious bowl of bún bò Huế for breakfast, you’ll set off for Phuoc Tich Ancient Village. Upon arrival, take a leisurely bicycle ride through the peaceful lanes of the village. Along the way, you will visit important cultural landmarks such as the village communal house, ancient wooden houses (nhà rường cổ), the sacred “Miếu Cây Thị,” and the “Miếu Đôi.” The quiet beauty and traditional atmosphere of the village will make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.

Around 11:30 AM, you’ll be welcomed into a traditional wooden house to enjoy a rustic clay-pot lunch, prepared in authentic village style. After lunch, there will be time to rest and relax before continuing your exploration.

In the afternoon, beginning at about 2:00 PM, the journey continues with a visit to the Pottery Museum. Here, you will hear fascinating stories about the history of pottery making in Phuoc Tich, a craft that has been passed down for generations. You’ll also get to join in traditional folk games such as đập om — a playful activity tied to the village’s pottery culture.

By 5:00 PM, it’s time to return to Hue city. Before the day ends, you’ll stop to sample Hue’s famous cakes, including bánh bèo, bánh nậm, bánh lọc, and ram ít, a perfect way to round out the experience with the flavors of local cuisine. The tour concludes around 7:00 PM.
