Hue Local Tour is rooted in the community and thus, after deducting for costs, tour revenue goes to our charity funding, the Hue Foundation. Building on the sustainable tourism activities of Hue Local Tour, in mid-2019 Bem Nguyen, founded the Hue Foundation Charity Fund with the objective of assisting families suffering the consequences of the Vietnamese wars.

We wanted to dedicate a portion of the charity’s funds to establish a scholarship fund for academically inclined children of our community who required financial assistance to attend school.

Full Itinerary

8:30 AM Our car and guide will pick you up at the meeting point (Hue center city) and move to Toa Kham wharf, where you board a dragon boat down the Perfume River towards Thuy Bieu village, admiring the beauty of Hue from a new perspective. The boat stops to visit Thien Mu Pagoda – one of the oldest famous pagodas, possessing ancient architecture that adds charm to the beautiful natural scenery of this place.
You continue to cruise the Perfume River, immersing yourself in nature. The boat stops, and amidst the mingled mountain and forest landscape, you experience meditation on the boat, listening and feeling yourself. During this time, you relax and enjoy the peaceful spe.
10:00 AM Arriving at Thuy Bieu, you will experience cycling under the shade of the Thanh Tra tree, and visiting Luong Quan communal house – a place to worship the village god and where villagers gather every year on holidays. In particular, tourists visit the ancient house of Ho Xuan Dai – a hundred-year-old garden house with typical value for the architectural style of garden houses in the ancient capital. Next, visit the painter’s house to admire the paintings depicting love for the homeland.
11:30 AM Enjoy a local lunch at the restaurant and learn how to make Thanh Tra jam, enjoy the results that you make with joy.
1:00 PM After lunch, you will experience farming with local people, and learn about the clean foods they use every day. Enjoy afternoon tea under the cool shade of the Thanh Tra garden and relax with a 30-minute herbal foot bath.
2:00 PM Back to Hue. Trip ends.
